HERMAN ERNST EBERHARDT

Herman E. Eberhardt, age 88, of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal rest early Tuesday morning, Nov. 23, 2004 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1033 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Officiating will be the Rev. Steven Hahm with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Herman was born May 6, 1916 in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County. He was the son of the late Ernst and Martha Uttecht Eberhardt. He was employed for many years at A-C-E Building Service retiring in 1981. On May 17, 1931, he married Norma Reichardt at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Liberty. She preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 1991. He later married Barbara Albright Fischer on Jan. 11, 1993. She preceded in death on July 20, 1997. Herman was a life member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church. He is survived by one stepson: Todd (Linda) Fischer, Wausau; two stepdaughters: Janice (John) Liermann, Rockford, Ill.; Susan (Charles) Zambito, New Orleans, La.; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Fred and Beatrice Eberhardt, Manitowoc; William and Thelma Eberhardt, Janesville; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Esther Halverson, Cato; Emma and Leo Roehl, New London; Irene Kolb, Madison; sister-in-law: Lenora Eberhardt, Chilton; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Allen and Doris Reichardt, rural Manitowoc; four stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends surviving. Herman was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather: Carl Waack; his first wife: Norma, nee Reichardt in 1991; second wife: Barbara, nee Fischer in 1997; one brother and sister-in-law: Henry and Elda Eberhardt; one sister and brother-in-law: Edna and Alvin Fischer; two brothers-in-law: Herman Halverson and Merlin Kolb; and one sister-in-law: Louise Eberhardt. Friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
