Mrs. Esther B. Heinzen(sic), 82, of 1004 N. 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday,
November 12, 1987 at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will
be 9:30 am Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents Catholic
church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo
Schmitt and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Heinzen, nee Esther Barbara Zimmer was born August 1, 1905 in the Town of
Manitowoc Rapids, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late George and Emma Kortens
Zimmer. She married Edward G. Heinzen on June 11, 1929 at St. Paul Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. Mrs. Heinzen was a member of the Christian Women of Holy Innocents
Parish.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Joan
Heinzen of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Robert Valentine of
Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Dirkman of Francis Creek and Mrs. George
(Leona) Wellner of rural Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Reinie, Leo and Arthur Zimmer and
two sisters, Lillian Grimm and Martha Grimm.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral home, 4 pm to 9 pm Friday where a Rosary Service
will be at 4:30 pm by the Perpetual Adoration Society of St. Paul Catholic Church
and a prayer service will be at 7:30 pm by Deacon Robert Drobka.
