Mrs. William J. (Rose A.) Lawrence, 86, of 812 State St., died Wednesday morning, Dec. 19, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence was born May 27, 1893, at Mishicot, Wis., daughter of the late John and Mary Hess Benzinger. She was raised and educated at Mishicot. She married William J. Lawrence April 7, 1915, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member and Past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge 18, a member of the Past Noble Grand Club and a member of North American Benefit Association.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Ben Pelner of Manitowoc; a brother Arthur Benzinger of Two Rivers; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Leo Deja of Two Rivers and Mrs. Frances Schwartz of Milwaukee; a granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Kathie) Lodl and two great grandchildren, Tammy and Lisa Lodl of Manitowoc.
Three brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. .Friday and Saturday until the time of service. A parish prayer service will be 7 p.m. Friday and a Rebekah memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made ot American Heart Association.
