Oliver Slemmer, 58, 115 N. Brown Ave., died Friday night in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland.
Mr. Slemmer was a lifelong resident of the Edwardsville area. He was born Dec. 3, 1910, in Glen Carbon, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Anna Kubicek) Slemmer.
Surviving are a half-brother, Leon Erlich of Edwardsville and three sisters, Mrs. Florence Zajicek of Edwardsville, Mrs. John (Beatrice) Trebing of Granite city and Mrs. Tim (Christine) Hearne of Maryville. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Slemmer was a past member of the Carpenter's Union local of Edwardsville.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Sunday at the Pletcher Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Buck Road Cemetery.
