EAST PEORIA - Christine Minnie Hearne, 95, of 750 N. Main died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at Fondulac Woods Health Care Center.

Born April 30, 1906, in Glen Carbon to Frank and Anna Kubicek Slemmer, she married Joseph ''Tim'' Hearne on March 4, 1928, in Carlinville. He died March 8, 1975, in Belleville.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one great-grandchild.

Surviving are one son, Patrick (and Mary) of East Peoria; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She and her husband formerly owned and operated Hearne's Confectionery in Maryville. During World War II, she sewed leather flight jackets for a company in St. Louis.

Burial will be in Fairlane Cemetery in Maryville.
