August Kaeser, aged City resident, passed away today at his home, 2214 S. Fourteenth Street, after ailing since November.
Mr. Kaeser was born June 16, 1861, in town Herman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kaeser. He resided on his father’s farm until June 23, 1883, when he was united in marriage with Miss Catherine Burkhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Burkhardt. Immediately after their marriage they came to Sheboygan and have since made their home here. He was a charter member of the Bricklayer’s Union No. 11 when it was organized in 1900. He retired from active work eleven years ago.
The remains were removed to the Ballhorn Funeral Temple from where services will be held Thursday. Rev. E. H. Wessler, pastor of the Zion Reformed church will officiate and interment will be made in the Wildwood cemetery.
The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Charles and William; one daughter, Mrs. William Landwehr of town Sheboygan Falls; one brother, Herman Kaeser, of Town Sheboygan, and one sister, Mrs. Valentine Dieckmann of Kiel. Three children preceded him in death. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.
