Walter A. Engelbrecht, age 84, a resident of Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died Friday evening, May 8, 1992, at Hamilton Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Edward Stelter officiating. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
He was born January 25, 1908 in Two Creeks, son of the late Herman and Albertina Kempfert Engelbrecht. He married Evelyn M. Benthein June 29, 1932 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. He farmed in the town of Two Creeks for most of his life. After moving to Two Rivers in 1959, he became employed at Mirro Aluminum, retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Lutheran Mens Bowling League and the Lutheran Mens Club.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Two Rivers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Janet Engelbrecht of Two Rivers, Harlan and Shelby Engelbrecht of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Lester Hoeffner of Manitowoc, Connie and Ronald Messman of Two Rivers; a brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Florence Engelbrecht of Two Rivers; a sister, Emma Hayden of Los Angeles, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Louis and Albert Engelbrecht.
