Gregory Grenzer, 87, a resident of Chilton Village Nursing Home, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1990 at the home.
He was born April 4, 1903, in the town of Stockbridge, a son of Frank and Anna Mainz Grenzer. On June 30, 1925, he married Hattie Ott at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton.
Mr. Grenzer farmed in the town of Chilton and was then a lineman for Commonwealth Telephone for many years. He later worked for Allis Chalmers until his retirement in 1962.
Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Fauklner and her husband Sidney of Rantoul, IL, Joan Jansen of Appleton, and Val Schoenborn and her husband Elmer of Chilton; 22 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Lodes of Manitowoc, Veronica Breckheimer of Rural Hilbert, and Hattie Kempfer of Chilton; and two brothers, John and Ambrose, both of Chilton.
Preceding him in death were his wife on Sept. 11, 1980; one daughter, Alice on Oct. 11, 1989; one sister and one brother.
Funeral services were at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. Loren Nys, officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
