Wilhelmina H. Christel, 81, of St. Nazianz, died Thursday, Sept. 13, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
The Rev. Cletus LaMere will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Christel was born Oct. 22, 1902, in the Town of Meeme, daughter of the late August and Wilhelmina Dobert Quante. She attended Hillside School, Town of Schleswig. She operated Rudy’s Bar with her husband for 35 years, retiring in 1978. She was married to Rudolph Christel in February of 1924 at St. Nazianz. Mrs. Christel was a member of St. Nazianz Sheepshead Club and St. Nazianz American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Vernon of St. Nazianz and Robert and Betty of St. Nazianz; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, three brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz, from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday. Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, St. Nazianz, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
