Alvin L. Morgan, 60, of Cedar Lake, R. 2, Kiel, died unexpectedly Monday at the home o his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Winkel, town of Russell.

He was born June 3, 1918, in the town of New Holstein, a son of Henry and Monica Gau Morgan. He attended school in New Holstein. On June 3, 1941 he was married to Loretta Mueller in New Holstein.

The couple located on the Morgan farm in the town of New Holstein which they operated for 15 years before moving to a farm east of Howards Grove, where they lived for 22 years. He also was employed at the Kohler Co. for 17 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul of Hingham, three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Barbara) Handrow Jr., and Mrs. James (Mary) Winkel, both of R. 2, Elkhart Lake, and Judy of Sheboygan; six grandchildren; a brother, Edward of New Holstein and four sisters, Mrs. Leona Holzmann of R. 2, Kiel, Mrs. Herbert Steiner of New Holstein, Mrs. Eugene Fuhrman of St. Anna, and Mrs. Marshel Paulson of Hot Springs, Ark.

A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, the Rev. Reginald Schrimpf, pastor, celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
