Steve Olig, 79, of Rt. 1, Newton, died Thursday morning at home.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Chruch, School Hill. The Rev. H.G. Messmer will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Olig was born May 11, 1885, at Mt. Calvary, son of the late Nicholas and Anna Koenen Olig. He attended Holy Cross School at Mt. Calvary and Sept. 12, 1922, married Katherine Schmitz of Marytown. The couple lived at Sheboygan
Falls a few years until locating on the farm in the Town of Meeme. He was a member of Holy Name Society of the church.
Survivors are the wife, four sons; Robert of Sheboygan, Alfred of Plymouth, David of Lancaster, Pa., and Edward of R. 1, Valders; ; four brothers, Frank and Joseph, of Mt. Calvary and Rudolph and Alfred, of Fond du Lac; three sisters, Mrs. William Wuest and Mrs. Edwin Wuest, of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Simon Haesgen, of
Germantown and 13 grandchildren. A son, a daughter and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where at 8 p.m. the Rosary will be recited.
