Walter Ruether, 68, of 1020 Memorial Dr., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning enroute to Memorial Hosp8tal [sic], Manitowoc.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Klein & Stangel, Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Karl F. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Ruether was born March 30, 1905, in the Town of Mishicot, a son of the late John and Louise Becker Ruether. He married the former Anna Raeck Feb. 14, 1931, at Two Rivers. He retired from employment at Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers, when he was 62.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Carol) Lemberger of Rt. 1, Manitowoc; a son, Russell of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Otto Sporer of Rt. 2, Manitowoc; and Mrs. Louis Uhlers, Mrs. Richard Denk of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Ervin Peterson of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; two brothers, John Two Rivers and Edward of Rt. 1, Two Rivers, and eight grandchildren. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
