Mrs. Frank H. Arnold, 73, life-resident of Rock County, died at 10:35 p.m. Sunday in her home, 636 S. Garfield Ave., following an illness of one week.

The former Thursie Brown, daughter of Thomas and Sophia Morgan Brown, was born in Janesville July 21, 1880. She was married to Frank H. Arnold in La Prairie Township Jan. 29, 1902. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1952.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold lived on Rock County farms for 28 years, moving from Rock Prairie to Janesville in 1935 when he retired. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church and attended Cargill Methodist Church since moving to Janesville.

Surviving are her husband; five sons, George and James, both Avalon, Emmett, Forrest and Robert Arnold, all of Janesville; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Crabtree, Clinton and Mrs. Kenneth Short, Janesville; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Charles Brown, Janesville; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Moyer, Spring Valley, Illinois. A daughter, Eva, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Overton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
