“C. L. Burdick of Rock Falls has received a message announcing the death of his brother, Andrew J. Burdick, which occurred Friday morning about 4 o'clock at his home in San Francisco, California. He had been an invalid for 11 years following a paralytic stroke, and recently had been in failing health.
The deceased resided in Rock Falls at one time, where he was well known. He left the city nearly 25 years ago and went to California. During his residence in Rock Falls, Mr. Burdick built the house on Third Avenue, occupied by Charles Pippert and family, and lived in it for some time.
Mr. Burdick's wife, who was Ella Higby of this city, passed away seven years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss, two children. John and Mrs. Dora Dow both of San Francisco, California, also two brothers, Charles L Burdick of Rock Falls and William A Burdick of San Francisco, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Mattie Burns of Davenport, Ia., and a half brother, Warren T Burdick of Rock Falls.
Interment will be made in San Francisco beside his wife.”
