Bio and Links
Bio Photo For over 30 years I have been actively recording information from cemeteries in South Central Kansas and Southern Missouri. Part of that information I have added to Find A Grave and I continue to add additional data daily.

I will add additional information or links as requested to the memorials I have created. Use the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "edit" tab that can be accessed from each memorial. If you post corrections as a message on my profile page they will be deleted and the memorials will not be updated.

I will add obituaries to memorials only if the individual requesting the addition is a family member OR if the death of the memorialized individual occurred over 10 years ago.

If you want to request a transfer of a family member, please read the following:

Please contact me via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial transferred to you. Also include in your request your unique Contributor ID # which is displayed to the right of your member name on your profile page. If you post a transfer request as a message on my profile page or email it to me the request will be deleted and not done.

If you are wanting a response to your SAC message please include your email address if you have it set to not display on your profile page and not automatically included in your SAC.

Find A Grave suggests that transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.

For ALL transfer requests you must provide your relationship to the individual you are requesting. If you do not, the request will be deleted.

Do Not make bulk surname transfer requests - "I want all the Smiths you have" or "I want all the Jones in Hillcrest Cemetery"

lee harrison's grave
Mr. Pennington, I wonder if you can help me since you live in Kansas and I am in South Carolina. I have been trying to trace my grandfather, Lee Harrison and I was thrilled to find where you had added his grave to the website!. Lee died when my father was only four months old. Long story, but his mother brought my father and his three brothers to North Carolina and left him to be raised by Lee's relatives. The only thing he was ever told was that Lee worked in a laundry in Kansas and went into the flooded basement after heavy rains and he was electrocuted.

I found on the internet where Wichita had heavy rains and flooding on Independence Day in 1921. Lee's grave said he died July 5th, 1921, so that backs up what my father had always been told.

Do you know how I could obtain a copy of a newspaper article about his death if there was one, or his obituary?

By the way, I found his draft card and it says he was born Nov 6, 1896 if you would like to add that to his grave.

I do thank you for any help you can give me!

Additional info
I just left a couple of edits for Bernadine Buckingham, buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita.

I am leaving this message because I forgot to add to the name edit that her name is "Bernadine," not "Bernardine." I can't change my edit now, so I am leaving this message in hopes you see it.

Thanks for all the work you do to preserve history.
