Kathryn M. Kauffman, 95, formerly of Temple and Mohnton, died Dec. 6, 2012, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Most recently, she had resided at Berks Leisure Living, Leesport, where she had been a resident since July 2011. She was the wife of Elmer A. Kauffman, who died January 2002. Born July 23, 1917, in Bern Township, she was a daughter of the late Franklin P. and Carrie (Althouse) Blatt.

She attended Bryland Beauty School, Reading, and operated a Beauty Shop in West Reading for many years. Kathryn was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township. She was also a member of Ontelaunee Grange. Kathryn enjoyed quilting at Epler's Church, Leesport, as well as with the Ontelaunee Grange. She loved crocheting and baking Christmas cookies.

Surviving is her son, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Kathryn was predeceased by ten siblings: W. John Blatt, Wilson Blatt, Elmer Blatt, Arthur Blatt, Luther Blatt, Florence Becker, Laura Reeser, Annie Hain, Helen Blatt and Sara Latshaw. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
