Alice S. Smith, 82, of 325 W. 20th St., died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital Annex. She was born Jan. 13, 1901 in Concordia, Kan. she attended schools in Concordia, the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. and Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan., after which she taught for many years in Kansas schools. She lived in Illinois, Wisconsin, California and Howells, Nebr., where her husband the Rev. Pryor Smith, served as a Presbyterian minister.
Mrs. Smith moved to Fremont in 1972 after hug husband's retirement. She was a member of P.E.O. and the Presbyterian Church.
She and Rev. Smith were married Jan. 31, 1943. He died in 1978.
Survivors include: five sons, Pryor Jr. of Stoughton, Wis., Robert of St. Anthony, Minn., Paul of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, David of Sister Bay, Wis., and Karl of Wading River, N.Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Joanne) Drake of Lake City, Colo.; four sisters, Mrs. Ester Johnson of Concordia, Kan., Mrs. Minnie Jenson of Bellville, Kan., Mrs. Ruby Koester of Ames, Kan., and Mrs. Sigrid Pishny of Waterville, Kan.; two brothers, Elmer Sjogren and Lawrence Sjogren, both of Concordia, Kan. eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church. Visitation will begin Thursday at 10 a.m. at lattin Dugan and Chambers Funeral Home. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kan.
Memorials may be sent to the Fremont Presbyterian Church, the Concordia, Kan. Presbyterian Church and the memorial Hospital Annex.

Alice Sjogren Smith was a 1917 graduate of Concordia High School.
