CONCORDIA - C. Elmer Sjogren, 86, Concordia, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 1989, at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia. Mr. Sjogren was born May 7, 1903, in Concordia. He was a retired farmer. He was a former member of the Gotland School Board and the board of directors of the Farmer's Elevator, Concordia. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Co-op Oil Co. and a lifetime member of the Cloud County Historical Society, all of Concordia.
His wife, Alice, died in 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Sluder of Gray, Tenn.; four sisters, Esther Johnson of Concordia, Ruby Koester of Ames, Minnie Jensen of Belleville and Sigrid Pishny of Waterville; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church, Concordia, the Rev. Darrell
Silkman officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapuy-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
