Lawrence A. Sjogren
CONCORDIA - Lawrence A. Sjogren, 71, died Wednesday near his home north of Concordia. Mr. Sjogren was born May 12, 1913, near Concordia, where he was a lifetime resident and a farmer. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and the Masonic Lodge and York Rite Masonic bodies, all of Concordia, and the Isis Shrine, Salina.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, of the home; three sons, Robert, Newton; and James and Charles, both of Concordia; a brother, Elmer, Concordia; four sisters, Esther Johnson, Concordia; Ruby Koester, Ames; Minnie Jensen, Belleville, and Sigrid Pishny, Waterville; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church, Concordia, the Rev. Darrell Silkman officiating. A Masonic graveside service will be conducted at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
Memorials may be made to the church or the American Diabetes Association. Friends may call at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, after 1 p.m. today.
