GEORGE LUECKER

George Luecker, 91, of 1007 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at the Luecker funeral home in Brillion, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss of Manitowoc officiating. Burial will be in the Brillion cemetery.
Mr. Luecker was born in Germany in 1860, and marked this 91st birthday anniversary on Sunday March 25. He came to America with his father, two sisters, and two brothers when he was 12 years old. In 1885 he married Bertha Bubolz in Brillion, and with his brother, they founded and operated the Luecker furniture and undertaking business.
He was post master at Brillion for 12 years and also served as treasurer of Calumet County. Later the couple moved to Port Washington where they lived for several years. Following the death of Mrs. Luecker in 1939, Mr. Luecker moved to Manitowoc to make his home with his son, Edwin, 1007 North 14th Street. He is also survived by another son, August of Evanston; brother, Fred of Brillion; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
