Info on funeral home Bishop and Poe from fb:

Yes, and from what I understand, Bishop and Poe also ran the ambulance service. They would load up a person in the Hurst and roar up Highway 29 on the way to Grady Hospital running a red revolving light and siren. That worked well until a car pulled out in front of them and I think it killed the patient. No details on who the patient was.

OCCHS has the Bishop & Poe records. Bishop & Shaw (my Uncle) were before Bishop & Poe. Bishop & Shaw rushed Sheriff T.W. Camp to Grady, after he was shot 3x's by Negro, Fred Griffin. Bishop & Shaw ran a 1929 Studebaker hearse. Reported top speed 55mph "wide open- siren sounding"

Gravesite Details

In 1932 Campbell county went bankrupt and was split into Douglas and Fulton Counties...extremely important in research records.
