Daniel Webster Meeks 76, of Anniston, died in Anniston, Alabama on October 10, 2000.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army, Navy, Air Force and US National Guard. He was a member of the VFW and Boy Scout Commissioner in California.

He is survived by three sons Kenneth of Fort Worth Texas, Walter and William Grady both of Anniston; two daughters Barbara Jean Meeks Corioso of California and Pamela Ortiz of Riverdale (currently Mississippi). Brothers, Harold, JC, Hugh.
He was also survived by his second wife and her family.

He was predeceased by his wife Vicki, brothers Del, George and Charles.

Funeral service conducted October 14 at Miller Funeral Home, Oxford, AL. Burial in Glenn Memorial Gardens, Flat Rock Community, Villa Rica, GA. Jones-Wynn FH, VR assisting.

Daniel Bud was in the 582 Airborne Division of the Paratroopers and served during World War II. On duty in the Phillipines and Hawaii, he met his wife Vickie, who is of Hawaiian decent. They were married October 12, 1948. They had five children.

They moved to Sacramento, California and he worked for Hunt's Food Company. After their children were grown and married, they moved to Anniston, Alabama. They were married 41 years at Vickie's death August 6, 1989.

Bud died suddenly, October 10, 2000 of a massive heart attack which occurred while he was in court..
