He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Allen and lived in Highland twp. She died in 1932 and he later married Miss Mary Oliphant who preceded him in death Nov 13, 1940.
Survivors include four daughters and two sons. Funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon at Worthington.
NOTE: Winfield was preceded in death by son Ned Vandeventer, died Dec. 28, 1917 in Camp Shelby, Mississppi and is buried at Calvertville Cem. as is Winfield.
