Terezie Benyshek was born in Bohemia March 18, 1855, and died at her home in Cuba May 14, 1934, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 26 days.
When a small child her parents came to America and located in the state of Wisconsin. In 1873 when she was a girl of 18, the family moved to Kansas and settled in Republic county.
In August of the same year, she was married to Charles V. Kasl of Cuba. To this union were born 12 children, 3 of whom died when small children, and 1 daughter, Ella, who died in early womanhood.
The surviving children are, Frank of Belleville; Mike, Charles and Louis of Cuba; Wesley of Weskan, Kan.; Stephen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Bessie Kopsa of Grover, Colo.; and Mrs. Emma Richecky of Cuba.
About 12 years ago, Mrs. Kasl moved to Cuba after the death of her husband, and has continued to make her home with her son, Louis, since that time. More than a year ago, she was stricken ill, and in spite of her intense suffering has borne her affliction with a smile for those who surrounded her.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Stanley Zakostelsky of Narka. Interment was made in the Kopsa Cemetery.
