Cal Cantrell, 50, resident of Oil Springs, died in a local hospital at 1:30 am, Friday, December 27, after an illness of three weeks.

The son of Tom Cantrell of Oil Springs and the late Julia Love Cantrell, he was born in this county October 1, 1913. He had been employed by Allen Corton Paper Mill in Dayton, Ohio.

Survivors include besides his father, four brothers, Bob, Bryan, Burns and Burl Cantrell all of Oil Springs; two sisters, Myrtle Hudson, Dayton, Oil; Hazel Cochran, Oil Springs.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 am, Sunday in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with F. F. Rigsby and Lonza Reed as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the family cemetery.
