Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 4 for Bryan Cantrell, 75.

He died November 1 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Cantrell was born August 27, 1911 in Johnson County the son of Thomas and Julia Love Cantrell. He was a resident of Oil Springs, a retired oil field driller and a member of Pigeon Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ruie Blanton Cantrell; five sons, Claude and Rodney Cantrell of Salyersville, Joe Cantrell of Marion, OH, Paul Cantrell of Flat Gap and Donald Cantrell, of Oil Springs; and four daughters, Lula Conley, Loretta Russell and Cheryl Cantrell, all of Oil Springs, and Flossie Wheeler of Salyersville. Also, a brother, Burl
"Whitie" Cantrell of Oil Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Cochran, of Wittensville, and Mrs. Murl Cantrell of Dayton, OH; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Rev. James K. Caudill and Elder Lonza Reed officiated at services in Paintsville Funeral Home.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Oil Springs.
