Robert Cantrell, 68, died Thursday, December 11, after an illness ofseveral weeks. He was born April 20, 1907, in Johnson County. Son of the late Thomas and Julia Love Cantrell, he was resident of Oil Springs and a retired employee of the State Highway and a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elna Frazier Cantrell, in January 1936. Surviving are a son, Thomas L. Cantrell of Oil Springs; three brothers, Bryan, Burns and Burl, all of Oil Springs; two sisters, Hazel Cochran of Win and Myrtle Cantrell of Dayton. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 14, in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Elders Buel Ferguson, Lonza Reed and J. T. Bailey officiating. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery at Win with Paintsville Funeral Home handling arrangements.
