Isom S. Wright, Admr (will annexed) of Reuben Wright, Dec’d.

Comes now Isom S. Wright [this is his son, not Reuben's brother], and on motion and for good cause shown It is ordered that he be appointed administrator with the will annexed of Reuben Wright late of said county, deceased, and thereupon the following letters of administration together with a copy of said will were issued to the said Isom S. Wright to wit:

"State of Indiana Putnam County, Sct. I, William S. Townsend Clerk of the Probate Court within and for said County, do hereby certify that administration with the will annexed of the goods, chattels, rights, credits, moneys and effects, which were of Reuben Wright, late of said County deceased, is granted unto Isom S. Wright, and he, Isom S. Wright, is authorized to administer the same according to said will. Witnesseth my hand and the seal of said court this 17th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three. Will S Townsend, clerk And thereupon the said will is duly proven, as follows to wit: .

"I Reuben Wright, being of sane mind and considering the uncertainty of life do bequeath my property as follows: To my wife [Ruth] her dower as the present law of Indiana prescribes. To Lucinda Jones, wife of Green Jones, one hundred dollars. To Isom Wright, Cinthia Mullinix and Fanny [Frances] Gilliland, my children five dollars each - and all the balance of my property, both real and personal to my two sons Appler R. Wright and John D. Wright. Given under my hand and seal this 26th September, 1843. I hereby revoke all former wills. Reuben Wright (his X mark) In presence of teste L. M Knight, T H Clark, Philo Hyde.. "Comes now in open court Thomas H. Clark of said county and being duly sworn upon his oath deposeth and saith that the last will and testament hereunto attached by wafer, is the last will and testament of Reuben Wright, late of the said county deceased, the testator therein named, that the said testator declared the same to be his last will and testament, in the presence and hearing of this deponent, Lenox M. Knight and Philo Hyde, that the same was correctly read over to the said testator, before he the said testator signed the same, that he the said testator signed the same in the presence of this deponent, and the said Lenox M. Knight and Philo Hyde, that the said testator at the time of signing the same was of sound mind, memory and discretion , of lawful age and under no restraint whatever, that this deponent and the said Lenox M Knight and Philo Hyde signed the same as witnesses thereto in the presence and at the request of the said testator and in the presence of each other. And further this deponent saith not..

T. H Clark, subscribed and sworn to in open court this 17th day of November 1843. Will. S. Townsend, Clerk." And thereupon the said Isom S. Wright entered into and filed his bond conditioned according to law in the penal sum of five thousand dollars with Joseph F. Farley, David Rudisill and Nathan Sells as his securities who are approved of as such by the court; and said bond is in these words and figures to wit (here insert it) And thereupon said Isom S. Wright was duly sworn as such administrator according to law. And this cause is continued --.
