Lorenzo Dow Evans passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. Lorenzo was born in Hardin, Mo. to John Royer and Catherine Elizabeth Evans. His family moved to California in 1937.

He graduated from Fowler High School in 1942.

He served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater.

He went to work in January 1949 for Pacific Bell and retired after 33 years as a PBX Supervisor.

He was an avid sportsman, fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed traveling in his retirement years, visiting Alaska five times for the salmon fishing. He traveled extensively in the western United States with his wife and often with his grandchildren. Your knowledge, kindness and smile will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Geraldine, Wayne, Nina, Don and Max.

He is survived by Dorothy, his loving wife of 59 years; his devoted children, Bruce Evans and Carolyn Ciccarelli and her husband Steve; and grandchildren David and Stephanie Ciccarelli; and siblings, Rod, Ruth, Joe and Joyce.

A Memorial Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 11:00 a.m.

Remembrances may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, or to the donor's favorite charity.
