He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
After the Army Don became a carpenter and belonged to the local Carpenters Union for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steve.
Don loved to hunt and spend his time in the mountains.
He was a loving husband, sweet and caring father, a funny and kind grandpa. He will be thought of often with a smile and missed with a tear.
Don is survived by Thelma Evans, his wife of 63 years; daughters, Marilyn, Betty, Janet and their families, including seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial gathering will be held at the American Legion Hall, 3509 N. First St., in Fresno on Monday, December 22, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.
