Audrey Jewel Klein, 94, of Burlington, died at 5:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Blair House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.

Born March 3, 1921, in Argyle, IA, she was the daughter of Louis and Clesta Derr Westermeyer. In June of 1940 she married Winton E. Gillaspey in Argyle. He died in WW II in 1945. On June 4, 1949, she married Arnold G. Klein in Burlington. He died November 17, 1980.

Audrey was a homemaker.

She was a 1940 graduate of Argyle High School where she was the Valedictorian.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Burlington Golf Club, Elks Lodge #84, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary and numerous bridge clubs. She enjoyed sports, sewing, crocheting, golfing, and mushroom hunting. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Burlington Bees fan. She was the queen of Thanksgiving for her family for 53 years.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Arthur "Art" Klein, five brothers, and two sisters.
