Anna Hilda Alzheimer was born on January 8, 1908, in Frazee, Minnesota, the child of Edmund Joseph Alzheimer (1874-1943) and Elizabeth Mary Henn (1876-1971).

Anna had ten siblings: Marie Kunigunda Alzheimer (1901-1988); Joseph Killian Alzheimer (1903-1999); George Carl Alzheimer (1905-1992); Anton “Anthony” Alzheimer (1905-1905); Edmund Adam Alzheimer (1910-1999); Martin Warren Alzheimer (1912-1976); Clara Margaret Alzheimer (1915-1975); Lawrence Leonard Alzheimer (1917-1992); Elizabeth Frances Alzheimer (1919-2010); and Paul John Alzheimer (1923-1994).

When Anna was only 2 or 3 years old, Anna’s parents moved the family from Minnesota to Montana. Anna spent most of the rest of her life living in Montana. Anna married Archie Howard Munson (1906-1967) on April 23, 1928, in Collins, Montana. They had eight children in 20 years and Anna was a housewife supporting the family while Archie worked for the U.S. Forest Service.

Anna died on March 30, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 91. She was buried at the Saint Mary Cemetery in Missoula, Montana.
