Edmund Adam Alzheimer was born on April 17, 1910, in Frazee, Minnesota, child of Edmund Joseph Alzheimer (1874-1943) and Elizabeth Mary Henn (1876-1971). Edmund had ten siblings.

Edmund’s parents moved the family from Minnesota to Montana when Edmund was just 9 months of age. His family homestead was located near Collins, Montana where he attended school. Following his father’s footsteps, he became a farmer, blacksmith and well driller.

On April 8, 1939, he married Lorraine Lucille Breding (1915-2001) in Choteau, Montana. They had five children in 17 years.

Edmund was a tireless worker as well as an avid fisherman, hunter and pinochle player. His passion centered around his family and his many friends.

Edmund died on December 7, 1999, in Choteau, Montana, at the age of 89. Them memorial service was December 10, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Choteau with Reverend Robert Noonan officiating. A vigil service was December 9 at the Gorder Funereal Home in Choteau, Montana.
