CHOTEAU--Paul John Alzheimer, 70, a farmer and mail carrier, died Monday at his home in Choteau of natural causes.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church here. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial of ashes in the Choteau Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph's or to the Teton County D.A.R.E. program.

Born Nov. 24, 1923, in Collins, Alzheimer graduated from Teton High School in Choteau. He worked on the family farm in the Collins area and did part-time work as a mail carrier in the Dutton area.

In 1952 he married Donna Beatrice Prior in Choteau. They lived on the family farm until 1991, when they moved into Choteau.

He was a Boy Scout leader, a member of the Teton County Gun Safety Council, the Choteau school board and St. Joseph's Parish Council.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, two sisters, Ann Munson of Missoula and Betty Heien of Sheridan; two brothers, Joseph and Edmund Alzheimer of Choteau; and four grandchildren [survivors names omitted].--Great Falls Tribune, May 4, 1994, Pg. 2-B
