THE GETTYSBURG TIMES May 12, 1964

Mrs. Ellsworth Crouse, 94, died at her home, 321 Baltimore St., Monday evening at 10:20. She had been seriously ill for three weeks.
She was a lifelong resident of Adams County and was the former Elizabeth Snyder, a daughter of the late Adam and Harriet Biesecker Snyder. Her husband died in 1932.
She was affiliated with St. John's United Church of Christ in Fairfield.
Surviving are a son and five daughters, Walter Crouse, Fairfield; Mrs. Donald Smith, Fairfield R2;
Mrs. Nellie Eiker, Gettysburg R2; Mrs. Charles Bankert, Taneytown; Mrs. Richard Eversole, Waynesboro; Miss Jessie Crouse, at home, a Gettysburg school teacher. There are 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
One brother, John P Snyder, Cape Vincent, N.Y., also survives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at St. John's United Church of Christ at Fairfield. The Rev. Robert Paden, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
