She married the love of her life, Joe Ensley on April 20, 1946, after seeing his photo at a relative's house and writing to him while he served in the US Army overseas. They lived at Lov-Knit and in Hunt County before moving to Irving and later to Grand Prairie where they raised three children. In 1982 they retired to Cumby to enjoy the country life near her sister and brothers. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie and Cumby Baptist Church. Ozell devoted her entire life to caring for her family. She loved to cook, bake, sew, crochet and do crafts. On weekends, she always had a meal ready and desserts made just in case someone might drop in. Her roasts, mashed potatoes, red beans, sweet tea and desserts will never be forgotten! She enjoyed visiting over a cup of coffee. In 2010 they moved back to Grand Prairie to be closer to their kids.
We will fondly remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a wonderful cook, meticulous housekeeper, and a woman of faith. Galatians 5:22 describes her personality best, "But the fruit of the Spirt is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness." Ozell was all of these.
