Sarah Ann Hodge was born at the family farm Jocksthorn, Kilmaurs at 11am.
She was the 3rd child and the 1st born daughter of Robert Hodge and Sarah Smith.
She married Thomas Littlewood sometime before their 1st child Thomas was born circa 1886 in Colmonell. Sarah Jane Smith Littlewood was born circa 1889 (married Alexander Dalrymple) and another son Robert Hodge Littlewood also born in Colmonell in circa 1895.
