Anna Nauman used Hanson as her maiden name as Hans Nyborg was her father. Some of her siblings used Ohnstad/Onstad as their maiden name which was the maternal surname the family used when they left Norway and when they arrived in Minnesota. Her father by 1885 was using Nyborg as his surname and her youngest brother Andrew used the Americanized Newberg surname by the time of his death in 1950.
