CARIBOU – Merrill E. Anderson, 89, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 with his wife Delila (Holmes) Anderson by his side. He was born in Woodland on July 22, 1930, the son of Simon and Grace (Little) Anderson.

Merrill was a friendly and out going person, who loved people, and loved gospel music. For years, he sang and played his guitar at the Assemblies of God Church in Caribou, and with his brother Ernest, could also be found singing at local nursing homes and hospitals. He had an amazing memory and recount people, places and times of events from years ago with great detail. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Delila (Holmes) Anderson, his daughter, Norma Beaulieu of Presque Isle, his son, Dana Anderson and his wife Debra of Caribou, his brother Elbridge Anderson of PA, 7 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Chester, Gilbert, Ernest, and Earl Anderson, and his sisters, Betty Tibbits, Ethel Nutting, Zelda Wilcox, Gertrude York, Maritta Sullivan, Lulu Dyer and Lavercie Gamblin.
