REDKEY, Ind.--Former Redkey resident James Edward (Ed) Eads, 79, Monterey, Tenn., died Thursday in Oak Ridge Methodist Hospital, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
Mr. Eads was a truck driver and retired from Redkey Feed Mill (formerly Willman Feed Co).
Survivors include his wife, Rosie McCowan Eads; five sons, Lyle Eads, Jonesboro, Dutch Eads, Redkey, Les Eads and Leo Eads, both of Portland, and Larry Eads, Bryant; three daughters, Lorena Bullock, Dunkirk, Louise Fuglett, Redkey, and LaDonna Bowling, Berne; three stepdaughters, Louise Selby, Cookeville, Tenn., Bernice Henry, Monterey, and Treva Murphy, Crossville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Carl and Marshall Murphy, both of Monterey; five sisters, Della Gossage, Danville, Va., Lexie Smith and Loise Crabtree, both of New Castle, Pearl Thompson, Winchester, and Irene Addington, Lynn; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 24 stepgrandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Community Baptist Church, with Pastor Arnold Burris officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Calling will be 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Jones Mortuaries Redkey Chapel.
