Born May 18, 1912 in Salem, Idaho to Albert and Mary Holman.
She married Rulon Widdison on July 14, 1930, solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 8, 1931. They were the parents of nine children. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and had a deep love for her family. She was petite in stature but not in spirit. Marie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various church organizations, temple ordinance worker, and served a mission in Texas with her husband. She worked for 14 years in the mental health field as a psychiatric technician and supervisor. Mom spent her life serving and loving all those around her.
Marie is survived by three daughters and one son, Marilyn (Don) Worthington, Craig (Elisa) Widdison, Marcia (Kirk) Norwood, and Jean Widdison; and by three sisters and two brothers, Leora Dutson, Bertella Charon, John Holman, Faye Schwendiman and Tedd Holman. Marie has 36 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, three sons, two daughters and seven siblings. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice for Utah for the loving care and concern they gave to mom.
Funeral services will be held Thurs. Nov. 15, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Country Park 4th Ward Chapel, 11250 S. 2700 W., South Jordan, Utah. A Viewing will be held Wed. Nov. 14, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S.), South Jordan, Utah and Thurs. 12-12:45 at the church.
Interment on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 2 p.m. at the Sugar City Cemetery in Idaho.
