MRS. EDNA STOWERS, widow of Robert Stowers, died at her home in Hager, Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. after a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning 10:30 a.m. at the residence with the Rev. Andrew Adkins, of Gill, officiating. Burial followed in the Stowers Cemetery. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Zona Adkins of Peach Creek; Mrs. Nora Adkins of Leewood and Mrs Lora Linville, of Hamlin; a foster daughter, Mona Lee Adkins; six sons, Howard of Hamlin, Burk of Monclo, Alfus, Ward, Matt, and Ewell Stowers of Hager; four sisters, Mrs. Lafe (Jerusha) Adkins of Hamlin; Mrs. Bob (Rhoda) Adkins of Hager; Mrs. Freeman (Justina) Plumley of Draham and Mrs. Walter (Lillie) Cooper of Hager. Six brothers; Deitz Adkins of Hamlin, John Adkins of Midland, PA, Ambrose, Alfus and Walker Adkins of Hager and Moss Adkins of Hamlin; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Note: She was a daughter of James Willis Adkins and Elizabeth Burns Adkins.
