Seventy-seven years old, of Hamlin, died Friday at 5:40 p.m. at his home. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Big Laurel Church at Hager by Elder Ernest Sharp. Burial was in the Adkins Cemetery at Hager. Mr. Adkins was a son of James and Elizabeth Burns Adkins. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Martha Adkins, one daughter, Mrs. Floy Turley of Hamlin; one brother, Walker Adkins of Hager; a sister, Lillie Cooper of Griffithsville.
Note: His wife Martha Smith Adkins is buried in the Powell Cemetery.
