Daughter of Jacob and Margaretha Yunker Pfannenstiel. She married Cornel Stecklein.

Mrs. Anna Stecklein, 92, died Wednesday, August 13, 1980 at the Russell City Hospital. She was born June 13, 1888 at Munjor, Kansas.

She moved to Hays in 1951 and resided at 2005 Oak Street. She had been a resident of the Russell Kare Center for the past two years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the St. Joseph Altar Society and the Christian Mothers Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Corniel, who died in August of 1938; a son, Wendelin, died in 1933.

Survivors include four sons, Jacob C., Alois, Fidelis and August, all of Munjor; two daughters, Mrs. Nick A. (Katherine) Wasinger and Mrs. Robert A. (Margaret) Billinger, both of Hays; two brothers, Fidelis Pfannenstiel of WaKenney and Clement Pfannenstiel of Hays; one sister, Sister Florian, C.S.A. of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Services were at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at St. Joseph Church, Hays, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Munjor.
