Funeral Services for William Alfred (Alf) Smith, retired textile employee and resident of 14 Lincoln Street, will be Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Brandon Baptist Church. The Rev. Boyd Turner and the Rev. O.B. Graham will officiate. Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.

Pallbears will meet at the home at 3:30 as follows: Ernest Williams, Frank Poston, Bill McCall, Walter McCall, Glenn Baldwin, Eulas Thurston.
The escort of honor will meet at the church at 3:30 as follows: H.M. Byrd, Crowly Singleton, Jess Evans, Cecil Green, Grover Green and Bartow Hendrix.
Flowerbearers will be Misses Ruby Smith, Betty Smith, Jeanett McCall, Norma Jean Turner, Frances Hendrix, and O(?__) Hendrix.
Mr. Smith had been in declining health during the past year with his condition becoming serious a week ago. He died at his home at 8:35 o'clock Sunday night.
He was a native of Spartanburg County, being reard in the Welford Community. His parents were the late Hayward and Annie Blackwell Smith.
Mr. Smith was twice married. His first marriage was to Miss Janie Rigdon who died 11 years ago. From this union the following children survive: Mrs. Ted Galloway, Mrs Ada Gillespie, J. D. Smith and Frank Smith of Greenville. His second marriage was to Miss Omie Gregory who survives him. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Oliver of ____ and Mrs. Lula Alman of Spartangburg, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pendinging this hour of services, the body will remain at the home. R.D. Jones (& Sons) mortician.
