Last Rites For Mrs. Tessie Hunk Are Held Here
Funeral services for Mrs. Tessie Rotterman Hunk, 79, widow of James Hunk, were held in St. Mary of the Woods church Saturday, February 8, with Rev. Brennan of Peoria in charge. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Bhel, Raymond Hunk, Harry Heinz, Leo Heinz, Francis Byrnes and Verne Fogerty.
She was born in Edelstein December 11, 1878, the daughter of the late Me. And Mrs. Frank Rotterman and passed away in her home in Peoria Thursday, February 6, following a long illness. She had resided in Peoria for the past two years and has lived in Joliet for many years prior to moving to Peoria.
The Frank Rotterman family was one of the older families in this part of the county and for many years resided on Clarke street in Princeville.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hunk of Decatur and Miss Josie Rotterman, whohas made her home with the Hunk family for the past four years; one brother, William R. Rotterman of Elmore, Minn.; and a host of other relatives and friends. Elmer Chapin is a nephew.
Her husband and her parents and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Another sister, Mrs. Maggie Bhel of Neoga, 84, passed away in her home in Neoga Sunday, February 9. Funeral services and burial were in Neoga.
