Julia Ann Rotterman
Miss Julia Rotterman Dies After Long Illness
Miss Julia Ann Rotterman, 81, of the Princeville, passed away at her home Monday morning after an illness of about a year's duration.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary of the Woods church Wednesday morning in St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom McCarty, J. E. Callery, Joseph Kraft, Wm. Friedman, George Best and John O'Connor.
Julia Ann Rotterman, daughter of Frank and Mary Piffer Rotterman, was born in Peoria Jan. 6, 1861. She was the oldest of 11 children and the family resided on a farm near Edelstein, where a brother Adam now lives, the farm having been in the family more than 70 years.
Miss Rotterman was a seamstress, had resided in Princeville 47 years. She was widely known in the county as well as in town, and has a host of friends. She was a devoted member of St, Mary of the Woods church.
During the past year while in frail health she was given devoted care by her sister Josie.
Nine of the family survive; Mrs. Katie Clarence, Elk Point, S. Dak.; George Rotterman, Guthrie, Okla.; Mrs. Anna Perkins, Edelstein; Mrs. Maggie Behl, Neoga, Ill.; Mrs. Ella Hunk, Trowbridge, Ill.; Miss Josie of this city; Willie Rotterman, Elmore, Minn.; and Adam Rotterman of Edelstein. One brother Frank died in 1937.
All members of the family were present for the funeral except Mr. Clarence, George and Willie Rotterman
