Mrs. Anna Perkins Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Ann Chapin Perkins passed away at the home of her sister, Miss Josie Rotterman, in Princeville Tuesday at 7 a. m. after a lingering illness. She had the misfortune to Fracture her hip six years ago in January and never fully recovered.

All L. Rotterman, daughter of Frank and Mary Piffer Rotterman, was born in Hallock township June 27, 1870. She was the fifth child in a family of 11 children and the family resided in a farm near Edelstein, where a brother, Adam ,now lives.

On Oct. 13, 1892, she was unites in marriage to Sidney Chapin at North Hampton. He died May 5, 1895. To that union were born two children, one dying in infancy.

On April 18, 1905, she was married to Charles W. Perkins of Lawn Ridge. To this union a daughter was born. Mr. Perkins preceded her in death April 1933.

Mrs. Perkins was an active member of the Lawn Ridge church and the ladies' aid society, of which she served as president for several years.

She leaves to mourn her passing one son, Elmer Chapin; a daughter, Angelia Smith; four granddaughters, Carmelitta and Charlene Chapin, Bonnie Jean and Sharon Loy Smith; five sister and three brothers.

Funeral service were held this afternoon at the Lawn Ridge Congregational church, conducted by Rev. Lee H. Smith. Interment was in the Lawn Ridge cemetery.
