Druce was the daughter of Rachel Harris Brashier and James Baxter Brashier; wife of Thomas A. Price; mother of Arie, Alma, Hubert, Floyd and Ophelia; and sister of Samuel Douglas Brashier.

Druce and her husband moved from Texas to Oklahoma before their second child was born. By 1920, they were back in Texas.
