Beatrice Bridgette Burns Achord died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002. She was 91 and a resident of Denham Springs.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Milburn and Iris Achord of Walker, Bert Sr. and Gwen Achord of Watson, and Norris and Catherine Achord and Terry and Diane Achord, all of Denham Springs; a foster son, Willie Harbin of California; two sisters, Elsie Teal and Elenor Ledet, both of Walker; two brothers, Ray Burns of Walker and Ivan Burns of Mississippi; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley "Bob" Achord; two sons, Elgin "Gene" and Merlin Wayne Achord; three foster sons, Tommy Rushing, William Rushing and James Harbin; three sisters, Addie Coats, Vivian Pendarvis and Annie Berthelot; two brothers, Wilbert Burns and Patrick Burns; three grandchildren, Malcom, Gayle and Ricky Achord; and two great-grandchildren, John Wesley Neucere and Angel Dawn Achord.
